AnalogBridge
The AnalogBridge wireless system offers a replacement for cables between remote sensors and monitoring equipment.
The system provides a virtual direct connection to the remote sensors using proven wireless technology that is robust and provides ongoing reliable performance.
The system comprises a wireless transmitter unit that has 2 Analog inputs and a matching wireless receiver unit that provides 2 Analog outputs that replicate the current or voltage produced by the remote sensor and can directly connect to your monitoring equipment (such as a PLC or Remote meter)
.
Both the wireless transmitter unit and wireless receiver unit are housed in IP65 (water and dust proof) enclosures
Maximum line of sight range for the 151MHz option is around 10km. In practice this may reduce to 3-4km if there are trees and buildings in the transmission path between the wireless transmitter unit and wireless receiver unit..
Then AnalogBridge wireless analog transmitter unit can transmit to multiple wireless receiver units if the sensor information from a single transmitter unit is required at several locations. The AnalogBridge wireless transmitter unit can be supplied with up to 4 analog. In this case 2 wireless receiver units would be required to provide the 4 Analog outputs. If your application requires more than 4 analog inputs or requires then we recommend that our RTU system be used as a network solution that can be expended to provide an almost unlimited number of Analog outputs from a single wireless receiver unit or a serial data output that can be connected to a PLC or PC.
The AnalogBridge wireless transmitter unit has been designed to operate very low current and is suitable for renewable energy power supply (solar power using a small solar panel(such as 5W)
The analog inputs of the wireless transmitter unit can be configured as 4-20mA current loop or Voltage input (0-2.5V, 0-5V, 0-10V). The transmitter unit has a built-in power supply voltage monitor circuit, 5V DC continuous supply output and switched 12/24V supply to enable low power operation for battery or solar powered systems.
The transmitter unit can be configured to take readings at particular intervals ranging from several samples per second to 24 hours per sample.
The AnalogBridge wireless receiver unit provides 2 x 4-20mA current loop outputs (These outputs can easily be configured to provide 0-2.5, 0-5 or 0-10V output by adding a resistor across the output terminals). The Analog outputs remain stable between readings received from the transmitter.
The wireless link is self-monitoring. In the event of a link failure, both outputs will revert to 0mA to indicate a link problem.
An optional GSM dialer can be fitted to the receiver unit that can send a SMS text message alarm directly to your mobile phone in event of Low supply voltage, radio telemetry link fault, over or under limits exceeded on inputs.
The system is available in our "OD" version or "ID" version. The "OD" version is UV stabilized and can be placed in direct sunlight. it also has room for a solar regulator and Battery for solar powered applications. THE "ID" unit is a slim line, wall-mountable unit that is still IP65 water and dust-proof but is not suitable for use in direct sunlight or has enough room for solar power supply components.(ID unit shown below).
The AnalogBridge wireless analog link is available for operation at 151MHz for outdoor longer range applications (10km MAX. line of sight without a repeater necessary) . The AnalogBridge system is also available for shorter range applications in the bands 433MHz, 915MHz and 2.4GHz.
The AnalogBridge system is simple to use, simply connect the power and sensors at the transmitter end and power and monitoring equipment at the receiver end of the link.
